HRMS is working with a number of leading educators on a national basis to enhance workforce training, education and job placement. The proposed scope of work can be summarized as follows:
The HIT Plus Training Program
Enhance the existing national ONC HIT curriculum and methods of delivery to increase student completion rates; prepare students for employment in occupations supporting the Electronic Health Records industry; develop Health IT job readiness and job search training to increase employment outcomes; enhance employer relationships to provide customized, incumbent job training programs and internships; incorporate entrepreneurial training to provide an opportunity for completers to start their own HIT consulting firm; integrate existing DOL career guidance resources, models and networks to leverage previous government investment; establish programs that better match certification outcomes.
