In
2004, the UCLA Anderson School of Management,
and its Los Angeles Alumni Chapter, asked HRMS/SeasonedPro to
create and produce a one-day Baby Boomer conference
entitled A Holistic Approach to Mid-Life
Career Transition. The conference addressed
the seasoned professional’s need for information,
advice and inspiration on issues of future employment,
career options, and work-life balance.
After a successful event in 2004, the Anderson School requested HRMS/SeasonedPro to
produce a second conference. At our January 2005 event (click
here to see a
program sample), more than 160 attendees spent the day listening to expert
speakers covering diverse topics such as how to market your maturity, dealing
with age discrimination in employment, mid-life financial planning, learning
how to transfer skills to a new career, self-employment, and volunteerism.
After
two successful Anderson events, our unique formula
of speakers, marketing, programming and event
planning is going campus-wide. In January 2006, HRMS/SeasonedPro will
produce an expanded two-day conference, including
a one-day job fair combined with job search workshops,
plus a second day of nationally recognized motivational
speakers, success panels and breakout sessions.
This conference will be aggressively marketed
to over 60,000 UCLA Baby Boomer alumni living
in the greater Los Angeles area.
